A very sad time at Botany Downs Kindergarten

It is with such a heavy heart that we share with you the news that Helen (our teacher)'s daughter Jackie was tragically killed at her home on Saturday night. Our thoughts and love are with Helen and her family at this point in time.
I taught Jackie when I was teaching at Pakuranga Kindergarten in the late 80's and Helen was a member of our kindergarten committee ... a very long association.

Communication can be made on this blog or via

Botany Downs Kindergarten
22 Maroubra Place
Howick

Jackie's funeral will be at 11am on Thursday 30th December at the International Baptist Church on the corner of Chapel Road and Dannemora Drive. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jackie's children's education fund.

  46. To Helen and your lovely family (wish we'd met over better circumstances!)
My thoughts and prayers are with you all constantly. I am devastated by your loss. My heart goes out to you all day, every day. I know that everything seems hopeless right now and that it seems like time is standing still and that nothing will ever be normal again and in many ways it never will be but I hope you will take this time to laugh and smile through your tears and heartbreak as you remember all of the good times and the love you have shared with Jacqueline over the years. She was (and is) a beautiful woman with such vibrance. She has left a beautiful legacy through her children - what blessing they are!
I know this is a time of grief, sorrow, hurt, anger, helplessness and questioning - to name a few but I want to encourage you in the only way I know how.
Psalm 56:8 (The Message Version) "You've kept track of my every toss and turn through the sleepless nights, each tear entered in your ledger, each ache written in your book."
God is grieving with you and he's not oblivious to your pain. I pray that he comforts you in this time.
Sending you all of my love and support. You know I'm here for you, as always. I'll do anything you need! xoxo
